The Community

The Upper East Side is a blend of culture and couture, of elegant old mansions and shining high-rises. Along Fifth Ave, Museum Mile hosts some of the most famous museums in the world, like the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Madison Avenue is a shopping mecca of both designer boutiques and resale shops boasting high-end at half-price. There’s also a huge variety of delicious and unique eateries, as well as more laid-back joins like Irish pubs and sports bars. The Upper East Side is home to several diplomatic missions, as well as Central Park and the Central Park Zoo.

The Homes

The Upper East Side incorporates several smaller neighborhoods, including Lenox Hill, Carnegie Hill, and Yorkville, each of which has their own unique style of homes. Here, you’ll find a lot of residential streets lined in trees and elegant old brownstones, many of which are designated historic landmarks. The neighborhood has its share of sleek new condos and stately co-ops, too. Surprisingly, though, depending on where you look, you might actually find some relatively affordable prices.
